University Collaboration

For one of the units in my second year we were put into collaborative groups with other second years from all courses.

This is the work I produced in regards to my collaboration. We concluded to the idea that we do not need to create a single artwork all together, but each one of us can give an instruction. As result we will end up creating a list with 8 instructions that we need to follow. The result of this act will conclude to the creation of 8 different artworks that represent the same thing.

The instructions are:

1 - Look at the clouds for 15 minutes, draw/ paint or sculpt the things you imagined.
2 - Take your last good memory of something you saw outside of the city, and amplify it in your own way.
3 - Try to use as much colours as possible.

4 - Use whatever you have around you to make a 1 minute sound clip which will accompany your piece.

5 - Close your eyes and paint or draw exactly what you see behind your eyelids - which should be something kind of like fireworks.
6 - Try to use more than one type of materials and describe your feeling of recent days.
7 - Choose an object or shape that you consider interesting, (you may also craft or design this) you will then “sample” it how ever you choose. You may use it as a stencil, use it as a stamp, trace around it or any other way you can think of. Be aware of the composition of your piece since you need to project this shape a minimum of 6 times. The repetition of this object should be accentuated and could become a pattern if you choose so.

8 - Do a research of the your dream places or location where you would like to visit in the future and make a post card by drawing, painting or any experiment materials. For example like different kind of techniques of painting it can be inspired from artists that you had research.
